Stayed in: Casa Banderas
Staying another night in Vilacha with Gordon and Anne-Marie. But we went to Portomarina to mass and to see the small city…
We ate lunch at a nice little restaurant on the water. Really feeling like tourists for the first time. Walking around with no packs … Really nice!
Our lunch was wonderful. Ordered those Galician pimiento peppers as our starter… Delicious! We ate them before we could get a picture lol!
It was very fun remaining a second night with Gordon and Anne-Marie. They actually did not have room for us (we made reservations for the girls, but did not originally plan to stay another night). Once we decided to stay the beds were all taken. Luckily there was a “Hospilaro room” for Hospilaros that were walking the camino. Anne-Marie thought it would be great for us to stay another night and surprise the girls. So they let us stay in this special room. Very cozy with a double bed and the room to ourselves.
The girls arrived, very tired but really surprised to see us. We had a very festive dinner as the other pilgrims were also great fun! Just an awesome time!!
