Stayed in: MunduAlbergue
Girls stayed in: Youth Hostel
We ended up sticking around San Poia a little late. Let the girls sleep and tried to make some plans to go to the coast for a few days before heading back to Madrid. We actually found a place on Cangas that looks pretty good and is sort of close to the beach. Cool!
We finally left around 11:00 for Santiago. A little anti climatic entering the city… It was crazy busy with traffic and really hot. We looked for the girls albergue first, Miega Backpackers. Took over an hour working our way through the city. Ugh it was so hot! Once we got there we found our reservation was overlooked and the girls had no beds. The hospilaro was very sorry and called the youth hostal which had two beds. We split with the girls and headed to our own alb.
Our Alb was on the outside of the old part of the city… Alb Mundualbergue. It was great. Clean, close to things, big showers , lots of toilets. Girls were happy with their place as well. It was really hard to get a bed in Santiago on Fri and Saturday. We were lucky!
We went to mass where they did the BOTAFUMEIRO, the incense smoke. It is pretty cool. Girls went back to clean up and make dinner. They ended up going out to a bar until the wee hours of the morning. Stew and I made pasta and were in bed by 11:00. Tomorrow Compostella!
