We are home!

Stayed in: Our own beds!!
Arrived in Erie around 5:00 PM. Matt, Alyssa’s boyfriend, met us at the airport and we decided to return later to make the baggage claim. (Our bag was delayed in Madrid and then again in JFK). So happy to be done with flights.
Once we arrived home, packs and contents all had to be bagged due to hitchhiker bedbugs. In process of working on this we actually found a live bedbug! WOW! We need to be certain we are bedbug free before bringing anything into the house. The process of searching each cosmetic item was exhausting after no sleep for so many hours. Bagged all the fabric items in clear plastic bags for sitting in sun tomorrow. Then hot water wash and hot dry of everything…
House looked good. Thanks to Ann Bradshaw who I know must of done a bit of cleaning when they stopped by last weekend! Stew went back for baggage claim for our missing souvenir bag.. Hiking poles also in this bag. They asked some odd questions about purpose of the separation from bag and that it had been flagged. Nothing more came of it and the bag did arrive Saturday afternoon with all the contents. But just weird… I guess it was checking if we purposely left it in JFK… Ah, but it was in Madrid then, so we were safe.
On to wash and cleaning and moving plants back into the house. Kim spent much of Friday purging clothes… Camino made her realize she just has too much stuff! I think she ended up with 6 boxes of clothes to get rid of. Way to go Kim!
Preparing for our house guest, alumni of CS dept, Arshal Arafat and his wife, will join us for a few days while they look for local housing. Need to tend to internship and classes that are coming up. The busy-ness begins.
It seems we are home!
