When we arrived there was quite a spectacle of armed forces. Because of the abdication last week there was something going on and the palace was closed. The royal band played and there was marching. It all was very interesting but we had no idea why or what specifically was going on. Because of the spectacle the palace was closed. So we headed off to the Museo National Centro De Art: Reina Sophia on the other side of center Madrid.
